John Patterson Noland

John P. Noland, age 84 of Gatlinburg died Saturday December 9, 2000 at Sevier County Health Care Center. He was a member of Roaring Fork Baptist Church. He retired from Union Carbide after 24 years of employment. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II, where he was a Chief Warrent Officer. He was the former Gatlinburg Chief of Police. Survivors: Wife of 55years: Ersa Watson Noland Sons & Daughters-In-Law: Johnny R. & Phyllis Noland Jerry L. & Connie Noland Grandchildren: Brice Todd Noland Steven Andrew Noland Sister & Brother-In-Law: Jane & Von Whaley, of Washington Sisters-In-Law: Perna Noland Aileen Noland Devoted Nieces, Nephews, & Friends Funeral service 7pm Monday in the West Chapel of Atchley Funeral Home with Rev. David Ayers offciating and eulogy by Jim Parton. Interment 11am Tuesday in Pigeon Forge Baptist Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Roaring Fork Baptist Church Land Fund;215 Church; Gatlinburg TN 37738. The family will receive friends from 6-7pm Monday at Atchley Funeral Home.
