Hugh P. Lindsey

Lindsey, Hugh P., age 91, passed away Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at Baptist Hospital. Worked at the Knoxville Journal and News Sentinel for 50 years. Served in WW II and was in the Philippine Invasion. Was an avid hunter and fisherman. Preceded in death by wife, Lela Lindsey and seven brothers, Charles, Ben, Ed, PL, Roy, Pearl, and Bill Lindsey. Sister-in-law: Mary Pollard Funeral service 2:00 PM Thursday, Berry Chapel, Rev. Tom Ballard officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
