James Roscoe Ownby

Ownby, James Roscoe, age 69, of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, November 29, 1999 at home. Member of South Knoxville Church of God. Retired employee of South Knoxville Church of God. After retirement, Roscoe worked for Knox Rail Salvage. Roscoe and Katherine were houseparents for 8 years at Pentecostal Children's Home, Barbourville, KY. Wife of 50 years: Katherine Ownby Funeral service 2:00 PM Thursday, South Knoxville Church of God, Rev. Tommy Bellamy officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Olive Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
