Mary Ethel Henderlight Deck

Deck, Mary Ethel Henderlight, age 90, of Knoxville, born June 22, 1909, passed away November 2, 1999. She fought the good fight, kept the faith and finished the course. She is now in glory with our Savior. A member of Meridian Baptist Church. Long-time member and Sunday School teacher at McCalla Avenue Baptist Church/Chilhowee Hills. Former housemother at John Tarelton Home for Children for 14 years. Preceded in death by parents, John and Katherine Henderlight; husband Odie Lee Deck, Sr., and son Ralph Edward Deck. Sons & daughters-in-law: Odie Lee Deck, Jr. & Julie of West Covina, CA; Charles & Diane Deck of Greensboro, NC Funeral 8:00 PM Thursday at Meridian Baptist Church with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating. Interment 11:00 AM Friday at Highland South Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons. Memorials may be made to Meridian Baptist Church, 6513 Chapman Hwy., Knoxville, TN 37920.
