Sanford Lester Spangler, Sr.

Spangler, Sanford Lester, Sr., age 94, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, May 29, 1999. He was a charter member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church and a retired employee of Knoxville Utilities Board. He is the last surviving member of the Daniel E. and Sarah Jane (Hood) Spangler family. Preceded in death by 3 sisters and 6 brothers. Wife: Martha (Houser) Spangler Funeral 8 PM Tuesday, June 1, 1999, Berry Chapel. Rev. A. Jackson Zipperer, Jr. officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his church: Gloria Dei Lutheran Church 6632 Chapman Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. Interment 10 AM Wednesday, June 2, 1999 Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 6-8 PM Tuesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
