Francis Lee Beeler, Sr.

BEELER, FRANCIS LEE, SR. - age 68, of Knoxville, was called home to the Lord's House on Friday, February 26, 1999. He will be reunited in Heaven with his mother and father, Gertie and B.M. "Murph" Beeler, Sr.; and brothers, B.M. " Ben" Beeler, Jr. and Lynn Beeler. Francis was retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory and was a veteran of the United States Navy, serving in the Korean Conflict. He was an active member of Norwood Baptist Church and in his earlier years was a beloved coach of midget football with the Inskip-Norwood and Baby Falcon organizations. He was a loving husband and father and is survived by: his wife of 49 years, Joyce Beeler; children, Tina and Wayne Graves of Kingston, Lee and Terry Beeler of Knoxville, Cathy and Gary Scott of Columbia, Conn., Clifton and Sherry Beeler of Knoxville, and Linda and David Price of Knoxville; grandchildren, Erica, Tara and Alicia Graves, Natalee Beeler, Jason and Jeremy Cruze, Michael and Joe Scott, Clift, Grant and Arden Beeler, Jessica, Shannon, Rachael and Jacob Price; great-grandchildren, Leah Scott and Joe Mac Scott; brother and sister-in-law, Herman and Debbie Beeler; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and David Webster; sister, June Stair; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-8 p.m., Monday, March 1, 1999, at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m., at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel, Rev. Sam Jollay and Rev. David Webster will officiate. Graveside services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Military honors will be provided by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. Pallbearers: Lee Beeler, Clifton Beeler, Herman Beeler, Wayne Graves, Gary Scott and David Price. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Old Knox High Breakfast Club. Special thanks from the family to the nurses of ICU and CCU, the doctors who took care of him and the ladies in the ICU lounge, third floor at Ft. Sanders Regional Medical Center. Arrangements by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive.
