Ruby Lee Luttrell

Luttrell, Ruby Lee, age 80, of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, February 22, 1999 at her home. Member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of Dot Davis's Sunday School class and active in the Friendly Club. Preceded in death by husband, Millard B. Luttrell; parents Oliver and Margie Shelton; brother Charles Shelton; sister Naomi Shipley; granddaughter Karen Emily Luttrell. Survived by sons: Arvell S. Luttrell and wife Kay; Garry S. Luttrell and wife Janice; John B. Luttrell; daughter: Judy Ann Luttrell Akin and husband Tom; grandchildren: Mike, Amy, and John Luttrell; Melissa Ruffing; Scott Luttrell; Billy Luttrell; Johna Luttrell; Jennifer, Laurie, and Daniel Akin; great-great grandchild: Gillian Samantha Luttrell; sisters: Marlene Montgomery; Patsy Dotson; brothers: Robert Shelton; Ed Shelton; JR Shelton; Jack Shelton; faithful Siamese cat "Peyton". Funeral service 8:00 PM Wednesday, Berry Chapel with Rev. David Abernathy officiating. Interment 11:00 AM Thursday Mt. Olive Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers, Mike Luttrell, John Luttrell, Billy Luttrell, Daniel Akin, Major John "Boone" Ruffing, Scott Luttrell. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
