Howard M. Wayland

Wayland, Howard M., age 76, passed away Friday, February 19, 1999 at Baptist Hospital. Member of Chilhowee Hills Baptist Church, Masters Lodge #244 F & AM, and Eastern Star, May Chapter. He was a veteran of U.S. Army WWII. Survived by wife: Madge Wayland; stepsons: Don and wife Shirley Smith; David Smith; grandchildren: Scott and wife Stephanie Smith; Monica Smith; great-grandchild: Kailey Smith; sisters: Betty and Addison Pollock; nephew: John Pollock. Graveside service will be held 2 PM Monday at Highland Memorial Gardens with Rev. Rocky Hodge officiating. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Sunday with Masonic Services at 8 PM by Master's Lodge at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.
