Clifford Cate

CATE, CLIFFORD - age 88, of Knoxville, passed away at home Wednesday, February 3, 1999. A founding member of Black Oak Height Baptist Church. Owner of Black Oak Construction Co. Preceded in death by: wife, Johnnie Lee McMillan Cate in 1995. sons, Johnnie Lynn Cate and wife, Lisa, Knoxville, William C. Cate, Kodak; daughters, Mary Carolyn Cruze and husband, Richard, Concord, Jean Etta Atchley and husband, Paul, Concord; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Earl Cate, Clinton, Carrel Cate, Claxton, Charles Cate, Sevierville, M.J. Cate, Jr., Sevierville; several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Friday, followed by funeral services at 8 p.m., at Black Oak Heights Baptist Church, Rev. Mike Ramage officiating. Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Arrangements by Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr.
