Flossie Ellen Turner Mitchell

Mitchell, Flossie Ellen Turner, age 98, passed away Thursday, August 5, 1999 at Shannondale Health Care Center. She was a long time resident of South Knoxville and a devoted member of South Knoxville Baptist Church. She was born in Barbourville, Kentucky and a graduate of Union College in Barbourville. Preceded in death by husband Herbert L. Mitchell of Knoxville; sisters Cleo Turner Jackson, and Freeda Turner Wallace; brothers Green B. Turner and Howard T. Turner of Barbourville. Son and daughter-in-law: William Jesse and Ellen R. Mitchell of Knoxville Graveside services 11:00 AM Monday Woodlawn Cemetery, Dr. Walter Isley officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to South Knoxville Baptist Church, 522 Sevier Avenue, Knoxville, TN 37920, or the charity of your choice. Family will receive friends 6:30-8:30 PM Sunday at Berry Funeral Home Chapman Highway.
