Martha E. Smith Best, age 76, of Knoxville, formerly of Clarksville, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 1998. She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville, active & past president of the PTA in the Knoxville School System. Preceded in death by husband, Louis Morris Best. Son: Judge Jack Hestle of Clarksville, TN Graveside service 10:30 AM Saturday, October 3, 1998, Greenwood Cemetery, Clarksville, TN. Friends will be received at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy. from 5 to 8 PM Thursday. Another visitation at McReynolds - Nave Funeral Home, Clarksville, TN from 8 to 10 AM Saturday.
