John P. 'Simmie' Sanders

John P. "Simmie" Sanders, age 88, of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, September 28, 1998, at St. Mary's Medical Center. Longtime aviator & motorcycle enthusiast. He flew himself and his family over parts of North and South America. He started flying in the 1920's and has flown airplanes for over 70 years. He was owner of Sanders Cycle Company, a dealership for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles for 40 years. Member of Lake Forest Presbyterian Church and a devoted husband and family man. Wife of 55 years: Virginia Sanders Memorial Service 8:00 PM Wednesday Berry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dana Fachman officiating.
