Dorothy Goddard Hale, age 88, of Seymour, passed away Tuesday, September 8, 1998 at Baptist Hospital. Life long member of New Salem United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Robert Hale and parents, John & Mary Francis Johnson Goddard. Survivors: Daughter & son-in-law: Patsy & Glenn Atchley Granddaughter: Pam & husband, Brian Strege. Funeral 8:00 PM Wednesday, Berry Chapel. Rev. Glenn Patterson & Rev. Steve Tuck officiating. Interment 10:00 AM Thursday, New Salem Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to New Salem United Methodist Church 2417 Tipton Station Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37920. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday in the Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.
