Willis, Melvin C., age 59, of Knoxville, passed away 4:05 PM, Monday, October 26, 1998 at UT Hospital. He leaves behind his loving wife, Alma Willis, of Knoxville. Other survivors: daughter, Sherry Willis; son, Ricky L. Willis; daughter, Rose Willis; Regina Hunter; daughters & sons-in-law; Rhonda & Ronnie Peak, Gretchen & Mickey Moore, Sonya & Walter L. Rogers, Jr.; 8 grandchildren; brothers, Tommy, Johnny, James & Ronnie Willis; sisters, Nellie Peters & Judy Strickland; several nieces & nephews. Graveside service 2:00 PM Thursday, TN Veterans Cemetery. Rev. Richard Llewellyn officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Hwy.
