Maples, Monteray, age 85, of South Knoxville, passed away October 25, 1998 at UT Hospital. Member of Sevier Heights Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husbands Leon Barger and Sherman William Maples, parents Judson Hill Cross and Martha Jane McNutt Cross, four brothers and one sister. Daughters: Shirley Head and husband David of Odessa Texas; Brenda Floyd and husband David of Knoxville Funeral 1:00 PM Thursday Berry Chapel, Rev. David Abernathy officiating. Interment: Woodlawn Cemetery. Family will receive friends 7-9 PM Wednesday at Berry Funeral Home Chapman Highway.
