Robert Bruce Ray, age 81, of South Knoxville, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 1998. Member of Immanuel Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during WW II in Europe. Retired Attorney & former Knoxville City School Board member. Preceded in death by parents, Robert B. & Willie Moore Ray; wife, Louella T. Ray; son, Robert Bruce Ray, III; sisters, Opal & Violet Ray. Daughters: Sue Ray Holt, Louisville, KY; Patricia Ray, Knoxville; Kathryn High, Lexington, KY Funeral service 7:30 PM Friday, Berry Chapel. Minister Carlus Gupton officiating. Interment 10:00 AM Saturday, Highland Memorial Cemetery. Military honors by East TN Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 4708 Papermill Road, Knoxville, TN 37909.
