Phyllis Cooper Long, age 58, died Monday, October 5, 1998, at UT Hospital. She was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church, Louisville, TN. Retired after 32 years of service as the chief dietician at UT Hospital. Graduate of UT and Massachusetts General Hospital of Dietetics. Preceded in death by parents, Clyde & Helen Johnston Cooper. Husband: Ben D. Long Funeral services 8:00 PM Tuesday, Beech Grove Baptist Church, 1519 Topside Road, Louisville, TN with Rev. Kenny Armstrong & Rev. J.W. Hopper officiating. Interment 10:00 AM Wednesday, Sherwood Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Rd., Knoxville, TN 37909.
