Rufus Atchley Brown, Sr.

Brown Sr., Rufus Atchley, age 80 of Knoxville, passed away Friday November 6, 1998. Member of Hillcrest United Methodist Church, retired from Robert-Shaw. He was an avid baseball player and coached amateur baseball in South Knoxville. Preceded in death by infant son, Tommy; parents, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. Wife of 55 years: Katherine Brown A special thanks to the nurses and staff on the 4th floor Baptist Hospital and also Dr. David Rankin and Dr. Ronald Yatteau. Funeral services 2:30 PM Sunday, Berry Chapel. Rev. Dennis Ford and Mr. Lloyd Davenport will officiate. Interment will be 2:00 PM Monday, at Woodlawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends 12:30 to 2:30 PM Sunday, at Berry Funeral Home, Chapman Highway.
