Alberta B. George

published: December 12 1998
George, Alberta B., 87 years of age, but so very young at heart, passed peacefully from this life to return home Saturday, December 12. Throughout her life, "Bert" has been a mother figure to several, a mentor to many, and a friend to all. Her warmth, caring, and irrepressible sense of humor has brought much comfort, joy, and laughter to those she encountered along the way. She viewed strangers as friends she just hadn't met yet, and there existed no problem that did not also contain a solution. Preceded in death by 8 dear brothers and sisters. You are sadly missed by all whose lives you have touched including 7 nieces and nephews, 13 great-nieces and nephews, 13 great-great-nieces and nephews, special friend Iona Ambrister and her family. You will forever live in our hearts while your spirit resides with Jesus. Have a wonderful journey. Until we meet ... Memorial service Monday, December 14 at 7:00 PM Berry Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Jim Bailes officiating. In lieu of flowers, Bert has requested donations be made to Washington Pike United Methodist Church where she was a long-standing member. Arrangements by Berry Funeral Home Chapman Highway.
