Palm Sunday, also known as Passion Sunday, commemorates the beginning of Holy Week and Jesus’ final journey to the cross.
St. Paul Church will re-enact Jesus’ return to Jerusalem with the Liturgy of the Palms, during which there is a procession with participants waving palm branches.  This Liturgy will be followed by The Holy Eucharist, a celebration of the Lord’s Supper.
At St. Paul Episcopal Church in Seymour, we have celebrated Lent at Sunday services beginning at 10:30 a.m. from February 21 through March 21 as well as a special service on Ash Wednesday. Palm Sunday worship service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 28 at 1028 Boyd’s Creek Highway in Seymour.
During Holy Week, we will celebrate Maundy Thursday on April 1 at 6:30 p.m.  On this day four events are commemorated: the washing of the Disciple's feet by Jesus Christ, the institution of the Mystery of the Holy Eucharist at the Last Supper, the agony of Christ in the Garden of Gethsemane, and the betrayal of Christ by Judas.
On the following day, April 2 at noon, we will commemorate the crucifixion of Jesus with a devotion of The Stations of the Cross followed by the Good Friday Liturgy and the Holy Eucharist (from reserved sacrament.)
