Keep Sevier Beautiful's county-wide Roads and Rivers Day cleanup event is scheduled for  March 20 from 9:00 a.m. until noon.
Registration for Seymour's effort will be held in the left front parking lot of Seymour First Baptist Church located at 11621 Chapman Highway. Participants will receive road and street assignments and will be given orange safety vests, gloves, trash pickers, litter bags, water and snacks.
During the harsh winter an unusually heavy amount of ugly trash and litter has accumulated on Seymour's roads, streets and public areas. Litter is a blight to those of us who live here and to those who visit and pass through.
Scouts, 4-H clubs, civic clubs, church Sunday school classes and youth groups, families—all are urged to take part. For more information call Sam Padgett at 573-7759 or Gene and Mary Lee Reed at 577-8090. Take pride in Seymour by volunteering for the cleanup on March 20.
