Seymour resident Joe Karl has officially submitted his petition to run for Sevier County Commission in this year’s election.
He is running for Seat A in District 6 of the County Commission.
Karl has strong ties to Seymour through family, churches, charity organizations, schools and businesses. He is known as the candidate that is all about the community and the people living in it.
When asked why he was running for a seat on the County Commission Karl said, “The Seymour community wants better representation and they want their fair share of what they (the Seymour Community) deserves.”
Karl is an avid supporter of Seymour and prides himself on giving back to the community that he calls home.
He also puts a large importance on small and local governments.
“Many lifelong Seymour residents have told me that they want to see a fresh face in office,” Karl said.
That being said, Karl has the support from former long-term commission members to lifelong residents of Seymour.
He is married to Michele Karl and they have two children who attend Seymour High School.
