It was a quiet week for burglaries and thefts in Seymour.
Between Aug. 24 and 31 there were no home invasions or burglaries reported and only one theft, in the 200 block of S. Old Sevierville Pike, on Aug. 26 was reported.
There were two vandalism/property damage complaints, one on Aug. 24 in the 200 block of Virginia and one on Aug. 26 in the 1900 block of Jerry Lynn Way.
There were also two dog/animal complaints, one taking place on Aug. 24 in the 12000 block of Chapman Hwy. and the other taking place on Aug. 26 in the S. Delozier/Dupont area.
Two simple assaults were reported, one on Aug. 25 in the 1300 block of Dupont and the other on Aug. 30 in the 200 block of Smothers.
One drunk driver was apprehended on Aug. 26 near the Post Office on Chapman Hwy., there was one burglary from auto report in the Kroger parking lot on Aug. 26 and one vehicle accident with no injury occurred on Chapman Hwy. near 411 on Aug. 30.
