A Maxima was headed towards Knoxville when it went across into oncoming traffic and struck a full sized Mercury causing the to do a complete spin and end up on the grass in front of the Seymour Post Office.
“As best as I can remember a car pulling a trailer swerved into my lane and I swerved into the other lane and hooked that other car,” Tommy Floyd, driver of the Maxima, told the Seymour Herald.
Floyd, from Knoxville, said he didn’t have any relatives in the Seymour area.
The un-named driver of the Mercury was taken by Sevier County Ambulance to a hospitial.
Floyd refused medical attention stating that his wrist was the only thing that hurt.
Sevier County Sheriff’s Deputies and the Seymour Volunteer Fire Department also assisted on the scene.

The Maxima is a 'he'?
Why do we need to know if Floyd had any relatives in the Seymour area? Does he need permission to drive from Knoxville to Seymour?
Yes, you ignorant wench; all Maximas are male. And yes, Floyd does need permission to travel from Knoxville to Seymour. He doesn't however need permission to drive from Knoxville to Strawberry Plains or Alcoa
