reported armed robbery at ream’s drug store

The Sevierville Police Department (SPD) responded to a reported armed robbery yesterday afternoon, Monday, March 17, 2008 at approximately 4:50PM.

According to SPD Officer Ted Newman, witnesses stated that a man entered the store, presented a handgun and demanded oxycontin pills from the pharmacy. The man left the store with an undisclosed number of pills, without incident.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

The suspect was described as being white male in his late 20’s or early 30’s, about 6’ tall and weighing 170-180 pounds, with close cut brown/blonde hair. He was reportedly wearing a white t-shirt with black letters, blue jeans and a white baseball style hat with a blue brim.
