SEYMOUR - Students at Seymour Middle School got an unexpected break from classes December 5 when the school received a bomb threat.
Debra Cline, director of curriculum and instruction for the Sevier County School System, said an investigation is pending and being handled by the Sevier County Sheriff’s Department.
Cline said students were evacuated and the building was searched for a bomb, but none was found. Cline said students were admitted back into the building about 2:30 p.m. No further information was available from the sheriff's department.
