The Sevier County public Library System which includes the Main Library and SCPLS Genealogy & History Center at 321 Court Avenue in downtown Sevierville, the Seymour Branch Library at 137 W. Macon Avenue and the Kodak Branch Library at 319 West Dumplin Valley Road will close at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2008. The staff will be attending a quarterly staff meeting. 

All locations of the Sevier County Public Library System will be open regular hours on Wednesday, December 17. For further information, please call 774-6033.

HOLIDAY HOURS FOR THE SEVIER COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY SYSTEM

SCPLS BOOK CLUB MEETINGS FOR DECEMBER

The Sevier County Public Library System offers a variety of book clubs to interest readers of many interests.  The SCPLS Main Library Fireside Book Club enjoys books of a more contemporary, eclectic view. The SCPLS Inspirational Reading Club focuses on an inspirational author and his or her works each month instead of a specific book. The SCPLS Kodak Branch Literary Classics Book Club discusses old and newer classics.

Each club holds a meeting monthly and the December meeting dates, authors and books are as followed:

· Friday, December 12 @ 10:00 a.m. - SCPLS Main Library Fireside Book Club will review the Jason Wright’s book “Christmas Jars.” The club meets at Fort Sanders Sevier County Senior Center at 1220 West Main Street in Sevierville. Please call Virginia Borelli at (865)774-6033 for more information.

· Wednesday, December 10 @ 1:00 p.m. – SCPLS Seymour Branch Inspirational Reading Club will discuss the author, Philip Gulley, and his books. · Friday, January 30 @ 6:00 p.m. – SCPLS Kodak Branch Literary Classics Book Club will not meet in December. Sevier County Public Library System Preschool Story Time:

Curl Up with a Good Book @ the SCPLS During December!

Curl up with a good book during the chilly month of December at the Sevier County Public Library System. Preschoolers and their caregivers can visit any branch of the Sevier County Public Library System during the month of December for holiday stories and celebrations as they enjoy songs and create crafts. During the week of December 15 - 19, the preschool story time program will be presented at each branch on the following days:
