Thanks to a beautiful spring day and the generosity of local merchants, Kites at the Academy got off the ground in splendid fashion April 12, and $1400 was raised in support of The King’s Academy’s middle school baseball team and its 2008 Annual Fund – Investing in Winners of the various categories were selected and presented trophies this week with local sponsors invited to participate. Categories and winners are:

Smallest – Catherine Sharp, sponsored by Chip’s Transmission & Car Care

Prettiest – Thomas & Rebekah Newman, sponsored by Carl Hatcher Furniture
Best All-Around – Scarlett Spaulding, sponsored by Doug & Cathy Smith, DDS
