Ranee King was named as 2008 Woman of the Year for Sevier Chapter of American Business Women’s Association (ABWA.)

In addition to King, the nominees were Darlene Milks and Michelle Wallace.

In July 2002, Ms. King opened her own shop Eye Designs Optical.

For more than a decade Ms. King has continued to support countless projects to benefit the residents of Sevier County.  King’s deep commitment to the citizens of Sevier County is greatly appreciated by the staff and clients of Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic, stated Elaine Miller, Director of Marketing & Development.

Ranee joined Sevier Chapter of ABWA in 2002 and has held numerous titles – including President, Publicity Chair, and various committees.  Members are so pleased to have Ranee represent them for the next year as Woman of the Year.

The mission ABWA is to bring together women of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them through leadership, education, networking support and recognition, nationally as well as locally.

The Sevier Chapter meets the fourth Thursday of each month (third in November and December) at the Holiday Inn Pigeon Forge.
