elderly woman in roll over accident

An elderly woman was involved in a rollover accident at the intersection of Chapman Highway and Sevierville Pike Monday.

The single vehicle roll over accident ended up with the car resting on its hood.

The Seymour Volunteer Firefighters arrived on the scene. They  stabilized the vehicle and elderly female driver was removed through the rear window opening.

She was treated and transported to UT for non life threatening injuries.

SVFD Squad 3, Squad 18 and 9 firefighters responded to the accident as did the Sevier County Sheriff’s Deputies and Sevier County Ambulance.

The elderly, (God bless their Hearts) Should have to retest for their drivers license every so many years after the age of 60!!! There are a lot of mental and physical problems that increase after that age. Think the teenage drivers are having problems, lets look atThe "Babyboomers" generation.. The to "Young or the to Old" behind the wheel is a very dangerous situation..
Either way, Slow down and have patience...
