pedestrian injured after being struck by vehicle

Sevierville Police Department (SPD) officers and Sevierville Fire Department (SFD) personnel responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle near 741 Dolly Parton Parkway, approximately 8:20Am this morning, Tuesday, April 22, 2008.

According to SPD Officer Robbie Nelms, 45-year old Olga McBrayer of Pigeon Forge was walking in the Food City parking lot towards the front entrance, when she was struck by a 1993 Mercury Topaz, driven by 19-year old Brandon Kadak of Sevierville.

Ms. McBrayer was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center via Lifestar air ambulance. The SPD does not know the extent of her injuries.

The Sevierville Fire Department and Sevier County Ambulance Service responded.
