Those who participated in the tour were treated to a regular cavern tour as well as an exciting tour into the undeveloped cave rooms where they crawled through cracks, crevices, nooks, and crannies.
On there tour, guides pointed out many striking formations such as anthodites (cave flowers), which are so rare that the Lost Sea contains 50% of the world's known formations.
Also, on the visit they viewed rooms where ancient jaguar roamed, moonshine was made, and saltpeter was mined for gunpowder by Confederate soldiers.
On April 12th a few of the boys & girls from Boy Scout Troop & Venture Crew 585 had the pleasure of traveling to Smyrna Tennessee for the chance to see internationally known United States Navy’s Blue Angels.
The Navy’s Flight Demonstration Squadron. Also featured were skywriters, the Red Eagle Air Sport team, and Shockwave, a semi truck powered by three jet engines that can reach speeds of 300 miles per hour.
