IHOP restaurants, one of America's favorite restaurant chains, has opened their doors in the Lowe's Shopping Center on Chapman Highway, a mere three miles from the Sevier County line.
A family style restaurant which feature moderately priced, high-quality food and beverage items, and table service in an attractive and comfortable atmosphere.
David Reller, owner of this and twelve other IHOP's in Knox County has hired Carmine Scarfone as the general manager.
"Carmine was an excellent choice as he has already been befriended by so many in the community and the staff love him," stated Reller.
Scarfone has been in the restaurant business for the past eleven years. His staff as well as the guests think highly of him and his pleasing manner.
"It's all about making the customer happy," Scarfone told the Seymour Herald. "I believe that the customer is not only always right, but the customer always comes first."
Tonya White, the assistant manager who also has many years of restaurant experience, echoes those sentiments exactly. "We strive at making the guests happy," she told the Seymour Herald.

At times if guests arrive and they may have a short wait, the hostess presents the guests with a unique name such as John Wayne, Tinkerbell, Superman, or a variety of recognizable names to which people always respond to in a favorable way.
"I started doing that because I wanted people for feel comfortable right way," stated Scarfone. "You'll more than likely get a big smile when they hear the name they've been given."
It is quite a shock to hear the hostess calling out a name like "Britney Spears" or "Paul McCartney". Some of the first time guests actually look for the celebrity only to find that it's their neighbor that's been given the temporary title.
Although IHOP restaurants are best known for their award-winning pancakes, omelettes and other breakfast specialties, IHOP restaurants are open throughout the day and evening hours and offer a broad array of lunch, dinner and snack items as well.
