arrest of burglar ends suspicion

According to Sevier Co. Sheriff Ron Seals, Sevier Co. Sheriffs Detectives have made an arrest in connection with the burglary of Superior Automotive on Newport Hwy. in Sevierville.

On Monday Sept. 24th 2007 SCSD Officers investigated a burglary at the location where a glass door had been shattered and an undisclosed amount of money was taken.

After an investigation Detectives have charged Matthew J. Stroud, age 23 of 211 Love Rd. Sevierville with one count of burglary.

Stroud also had an outstanding warrant in Knox County and is being held in Sevier Co. Jail under a $3000.00 bond. Stroud will appear in Sevier Co. General Sessions Court on 11/2/07 for a preliminary hearing.
