Seals states that his Dept received a 911 call to the residence at approximately 11:21PM and responding officers found Alice Neff age 42 and her 21 year old daughter, Hillary Neff, deceased inside a car that was in the garage of the home.
Another occupant of the home arrived to find the two in the car, which was still running at time of discovery.
Evidence found at the scene by Sevier County Sheriff Detectives indicates that the two died of carbon monoxide poisoning and preliminarily is being treated as a murder/suicide.
No signs of foul play were found at the scene.
Both had lethal levels of Carboxyhemogloin(carbon monoxide) in their body after a blood test was performed by the medical examiners office.
The investigation is continuing at time by SCSD Detective Matthew Cubberley and Detective Capt Jeff McCarter.

I am kin to these ladies and I found it hard to believe that it is being treated murder/suicide..
that is my sister in law and my neice that was found. god be with my family as we deal with this let us be strong
i hope the police do their jobs and find the truth about this and not treat this as a murder/ suicide
Just want to start off by saying, "Thanks to the paper for the info. on the story". I'm still can't believe this happen and maybe us (family members) will never know why.
Alice and Hilary will be greatly missed and
My prayers are with Alice's other children (my niece and nephew).
Maybe in time we can find out the answer to questions we still have about this and maybe found out why this happen.
my pryaer go out to the family .the lord is in control of all thing that happen ,sometimes things don't go the way that it should trust in the lord he will guilde you .
