A man was apparently killed by a freak farm tractor accident Tuesday around 6:00 P.M.

Seymour Volunteer Fire Department responded to a farm tractor accident in the 1900 block of Dripping Springs Rd.

The Firefighters arrived within 6 minutes of the call and found a deceased male victim trapped underneath the farm tractor,

It appears that the unnamed male subject was grading on a ridge when the ground gave way causing him to roll down a 30 foot embankment coming to rest against a tree.

The SVFD used Airbags to lift the tractor off the victim.

Squad 17, Squad 18 and 10 Firefighters responded along with Sevier Co. EMS and Sevier County Rescue Squad's Rescue 1.
