Officers with SCSD responded to the school after a report that there was writing in the girl’s bathroom that indicated there was possibly a bomb in the school. After a search by Sevier Co. Sheriffs Office Explosive K-9 unit and Hazardous Device Unit, nothing was found at the school.
An investigation was initiated by Sheriffs Dept. CID at that time. On Friday 11/16/07 the 11 year old female was questioned and admitted to writing the message on the wall. The juvenile was charged with filing a false report.
The juvenile was released to the custody of her parents and a hearing will be held in Sevier County Juvenile Court at a later date.

Any eleven year old in a Tennessee public school, who can write a complete sentence should be rewarded.
There have been hundreds of people graduate from Sevier County Schools who have gone on to be very successful. Would they have been as sucessful without the education they received in this county or would they have been more successful if they had gone to a private school school? Who knows.
I guess #1 Education is going to blame the schools for this student not knowing right from wrong.
I hope the student gets the help she needs and I hope the family has the support of fiends and family to help them through this time of crisis.

since the website is owned and operated by the OWNERSHIP and not the respondees - the OWNERSHIP has the right - and responsibility to all other users to delete, modify and/or edit posts on the message board that IN OWNERSHIP'S opinion are in poor taste. Doing so is NOT 'censorship. It's called being responsible.
"We need to stop the hate"
Tennessee education is 48th in the nation, refusing to acknowledge it won't solve the problem. Sevier County does better than some, and several graduates have done well.
Sevier County also has one of the lowest incomes in Tennessee. The average pay is about $8.50 hr. When you consider the number of students graduating in Sevier County every year, is five or ten successful students your goal. Instead of getting angry with a little pun at the truth, do something to improve the opportunity for the youth of Sevier County.
The "ownership" needs to be consistent. It seems they "The Great Karls" delete things that seem to affect them. They need to delete things that hurt others also. It has got to be all or nothing.
How does the NEA feel about Tennessee being ranked 48th? I would think most everyone has a few high school graduates who have difficulty their written communications and making change at the checkout.
I made a mistake. I meant #7's comment.
Are you big enough to admit you made a mistake?
I have notice that when you attack another post, your remarks are removed. I believe he is trying to stop two people from posting hundreds of remarks to each other. Try making comments about the story and not attack others.
Most anyone should be able to reply to the story and indirectly to others.
