It's been several months since the Seymour area has had any rain and already there are accidents on Chapman Highway.

At approximately 3:30 P.M. Tuesday afternoon, a three car wreck on Chapman Highway near Shilo Road sent two people to a local hospital. One car rolled over on it's side, another ran off the road and into shrubs and the third car remain damaged on the side of Chapman.

The driver of the vehicle that rolled on its side fled the scene of the accident. The other two occupants stayed.

Less than a mile towards Seymour was another wreck involving two vehicles. The number of occupants, if there were any injuries or names of drivers was unavailable at this time.

The Seymour Volunteer Fire Department, Sevier County Sheriff's Department, Sevier County Ambulance and the TN Highway Patrol were all on the scene at both locations.

Just how dumb is this person that fled??? I wonder if in all the confusion if they forgot that their vehicle has the license plate still on it in plain site to add and then also it has a vin number and the cops can tell that too. Just shows how smart some of our Seymour residents are. That person has to be underage or just an IDIOT.

I love how old people like you, Sarah, always assume that it HAS to be someone "underage." Yes, I agree the person was ignorant for leaving the scene, but you do not know the circumstances. They may have been older and paniced, or maybe they just panicked period... It is very childish and asinie to always point the finger at a young individual. It seems to me that people such as yourself are the ones who need to grow up a little! I know you must be perfect, but all other people do make mistakes, my little Sarah.

Freddy, you must be one of the "other people" that you are referring to because actually in reply to your response I'm not old... I'm only 21 but what I meant by underage was someone that wasn't old enough to have a license as in under the age of at least 16. You might want to be sure of exactly what I am referring to when I say "underage". But since you didn't get past the underage part I also said they were an idiot. Why else would some normal person have a wreck where their car turns over and then run. It's really hard for me to see a 57 year old running down chapman hwy cause they flipped their vehicle. Oh and not to be an ass but it's spelled asinine. But it was good word usage, I got what you were meaning. :)

You might want to be clear in your argument, Sarah. "Underage" drivers are from 16-17 years old, but thanks for explaining what you meant. In that case, the kid would be an idiot :) Though, it would have been hilarious to see a 57 year old running down Chapman Highway :) Also, I know how it is spelled... it was a case of the fingers going faster than the brain ;) I tend not to proofread...oops. Haha

That's alright... I don't proofread either. But at least we are both clear in our arguments now. I actually have to agree that I think it probably would be funny to see a 57 year old running down the street especially in the rain. :)
