State Senator Raymond Finney (R) met with the Boys Scouts Troop 585 Tuesday evening in Seymour.

Finney spoke with the scouts about how government was created and the chain of command of government, about there rights as good citizens and how to be good citizens. He also gave the kids an example of the process of a bill and an amendment to become law.

The scouts heard how a Senator Pizza was presented as a Bill that the schools only serve pizza at school. Senator Veggie had an amendment that the school serves pizza everyday but they first had to eat broccoli, asparagus, and brussel sprouts. It was a great debate between the parents and the children. The parents, scouts and leaders felt that Finney really did a great job.
