Her friends at Seymour High School call her "Angie", "But my Chinese name is Menghan Hu," stated Angie. The exchange student from China has spent the last school year learning about the Seymour and Tennessee area, what kids are like in the U.S., and how America is different from her homeland. "People ask me all the time what I like best about America," stated Angie. "But I don't know about America, I know about Seymour and I think it's great."

The 11th grader said she has made lots of friends here while staying with host family Jeanne & Dennis Campbell. "Hannah is a good friend. We met in chorus," stated Angie as the two whipped up a batch of brownies before the Memorial Day weekend." Hannah Kerley is just one of the friends Angie has made while participating in chorus, Beta Club and more since arriving in Seymour. "I got to go to the Prom!" said Angie. "We don't have a prom until college in China."

While in the U.S. this National Honor Society student had an opportunity to visit Washington D.C. and go to Florida. "That was really fun," stated Angie. "It was great to see the nation's capitol.

Hannah's mother Kelsey told the Seymour Herald, "It's been a learning experience having Angie here. She's a sweetheart.

Reflecting on her stay Angie stated, "I've grown up a lot while I'll been here. When I first came here I was like an outsider now I feel like I am part of the Seymour community now."
