Sevier County Sheriff, Ron Seals announced May 23, 2007 that two Sevier County men have been arrested for burglarizing a rental home in Sevier County. On Tuesday 5/22/07 Sheriff's Deputy Mark Nottage was dispatched to a suspicious vehicle call on Shady Grove Court in the Shady Grove Community. Officer Nottage spotted a vehicle attempting to leave a rental cabin and he stopped and encountered the 2 male subjects in the car, later identified as Paul Marion Yazel, age 23 and Scottie Lee Ownby, age 29 both of Sevierville. Officer Nottage then discovered that the cabin had been burglarized and upon further investigation he then found burglary tools on the Yazel subject. After an investigation at the scene the pair was arrested and charged with aggravated burglary. Yazel was also charged with possession of burglary tools and driving on revoked driver's license. Both are being held in Sevier County Jail under bond and will appear in Sevier County General Sessions Court for an arraignment and preliminary hearing. Both subjects had been recently released from Sevier County Jail on other charges.
