The United Way of Sevier County announces that Steve and Tracy Layman will serve as Campaign Chairs for the 2007 United Way campaign.

"We are honored to have been selected to serve as the 2007 Campaign Chairs and we are very excited about the opportunity to work together for Sevier County. The United Way is an important organization that touches the lives of many of our fellow citizens and we are thrilled to be a part of that," said Steve and Tracy Layman.

Steve and Tracy have been long time supporters of the United Way of Sevier County. In addition to monetarily supporting United Way and its 27 Community Partners, Tracy has served as a member of the board of directors, the executive committee and allocations panel chair. Steve and Tracy, as well as their son Reece, have also been involved in various special events for the organization. Reece has already contributed to the 2007 campaign as the youngest participant at the 4th Annual Polar Bear Plunge in February.

"On behalf of the United Way, we are very excited to have Steve and Tracy as this year's campaign chairs," said Roy Marshall, United Way of Sevier County executive director. "We know they will do a wonderful job and we look forward to working together for the residents of Sevier County."

The Layman's and the United Way of Sevier County board of directors look forward to setting an aggressive goal for the 2007 Campaign. The dollars collected during the campaign will be used to financially support United Way's 27 Community Partners (agencies).

United Way of Sevier County and its 27 Community Partners serve the needs of our fellow citizens in the following areas: Helping Children and Youth Succeed, Enriching the Lives of Seniors, Supporting Health and Healing, Responding to Basic Needs and Emergencies, Supporting People in Crisis
