A two car accident on Chapman Highway resulted in a woman that was trapped in her vehicle.

The vehicles with single occupants were taken to hospitals. Clyde Loposser, an eye witness, told the Seymour Herald, "The red Toyota pickup was stopped ready to make a left turn onto Reagan Branch Road when the woman in the white Pickup rear ended the Toyota.

The accident was called into the Sevier County Sheriff's Department at 10:48 AM Thursday. The woman that was trapped in the Ford pickup was air lifted by Lifestar to the hospital. At first it was announced on the scanner that one of the drivers' legs was amputated.

The emergency staff at the scene stated that was not the case. A combination of emergency service workers worked to get her free.

Chapman Highway claims two more victims. This is another Good Ole Boy monument of Stupidity. They just never seem to have the smarts to do it right but the will find the time and money somewhere to hire a consultant to do it over and really screw it up. Welcome to Sevier County!

Keep right except to pass, a rule that would prevented this accident and many more.

What does it take to get people to slow down? Maybe if the police put up one of those speed limit machines that flashes everyones speed, that might help.

We need a left lane law! These idiots want to drive in the left lane all the time and talk on their cell phone.
Hello...the left lane is for PASSING!

ahem --and turning left for some parts of chapman. Not having a center turn lane is dangerous, especially considering the lack of speed enforcement out in the county.

in ENGLAND we call undertaking the fastet way to the undertaker! but out here it seems the norm to sit in the passing lane drinking, eating, or on the phone!then of all the things that bug me the most is that most of the drivers out here think that if they use their indicators they will wear them out, of course until the overtaking law is enforced things wont change.

I thought getting a photo of a Mopar product was kewl, glad to see Dodge is making a comeback with the Charger police package. Oh, and Chapman has been long due for a rebuild, can't have a 4 lane highway with business access without a left turn holding lane. So 20th century of TdOT.
