knob creek group to possibly meet with optimist club

After several weeks of negotiations North Knob Creek Association (NKCA) is ready to file suit against Sevier County and the Optimist Clubof Seymour over the alleged illegal lease of 14 acres.

Sevier County attorney Joe Baker, NKCA attorney, has met with Patrick Doyle, the spokesperson of the NKCA, and suggested they have a final meeting with the Optimist Club of Seymour prior to the suit.

According to Doyle, the Optimist Club has expressed the desire to turn the lease over the NKCA. It is said that Commissioner Buster Norton was fine with the arrangement but Commissioner Judy Godfrey was against it and County Mayor Larry Waters will support what the Seymour Commissioners agree to.

In an effort to avoid trial, Baker believes that expensive litigation for all parties could be avoided if all parties can meet and come to a reasonable agreementSevier  rather than have a judge force an order that possibly will  not satisfy either party.
