The Tennessee Department of Transportation will conduct a Tennessee Environmental Evaluation Report (TEER) public hearing on Thursday, January 25, 2007 to discuss the proposed improvements to U.S. 321 (State Route 73) from Buckhorn Road to east of S.R. 416 in Sevier County. The meeting will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Gatlinburg Pittman High School, 150 Proffitt Road, Gatlinburg, Tennessee.
This will be a formal public hearing, during which time there will be a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period. The public is invited to ask questions and make comments during the hearing. Representatives from TDOT will be available to answer questions on any aspect of the TEER report. If Sevier County Schools are closed the meeting will be rescheduled.
Comments and suggestions received at this hearing will help further refine all aspects of the project. A court reporter will be available to receive oral statements, and comment sheets will be available for those who prefer to make written statements. Written statements and other exhibits must be submitted within twenty-one (21) days after the hearing date to be included in the official transcript.
