Donkey’s, basketball and people usually aren’t mentioned in the same sentence, except at the annual Seymour Donkey Basketball.
“Things went well overall expect the crowds were down a little this year because of other conflicting events,” Coach Cotton Julian told the Seymour Herald. “Normally we have this event the last week of January, but had to move it this year, but still we have between 350 to 375 people.”
The audience had so many great opportunities to root for either the white or blue team as they both had several great shots on the floor.
Just a little over $850 was raised for the Seymour High School Track Team.
“Don’t forget the Buckeye Donkey Basketball Company left with $1281.00. They get 60% of everything,” according to Coach Jullian.
The Blue team took the winning points with a final score of 30 to 19.
Everyone had a great time.
The Blue team consisted of; Rod Cowan, Brian Joslin, Jeni Fleming, Amy Humble, Tim Bush, Laura Hebert and Travis Delozier.
The White team consisted of Tracy Wolfenbarger, Tina Galyon, Rick Taylor, Veronica Heck, Mandy Cannon, Dustin Huyffaker, Michele Ballard, and Darryl Randles.
