City of Sevierville Police (SPD) have arrested and charged a Sevierville man with assault and aggravated assault after he allegedly attacked two women on Saturday, January 6, 2007. SPD Sgt. Bryan Lewelling and Officer Jason Ballard responded to a 911 call from a woman at City Park on Park Road at approximately 7:08PM. After arriving at the park, SPD officers arrested 23-year old Alex Noe Rosales on charges of assault and aggravated assault. Mr. Rosales was transported to the Sevier County Jail where he is being held on a $50,000.00 bond. According to SPD Detective Tom Coulter, Mr. Rosales allegedly attacked two women (aged 19 and 21) as they were entering the covered bridge on the walking trail at City Park. Mr. Rosales reportedly punched both women and hit one of them with a rock. One of the victims was treated and released from Fort Sanders Sevier Medical Center after receiving injuries to her face and head.
