Boyds Creek Elementary School recently held their National Geography Bee rounds. Students in grades 4 through 8 were given questions to determine the top 10 competitors for the school. Ten students participated in a school competition, which was monitored by Mr. Hans Ballew and Mrs. Betsy Elliott. After some grueling and challenging questions about world geography Sierra Bryant and Will South emerged as our finalists. Sierra and Will then competed in our championship round and vied for the title of school Geo Bee Champ. Finally, after tough competition, Sierra Bryant triumphed as our champion. Sierra will now take a written test which will be sent to Nashville to be scored. The top achievers on this written competition will be invited to Nashville for a state competition. The state winners will vie for the national championship in Washington, D.C. Congratulations to all of the students who participated. We are extremely proud of you.
