Two Seymour teens injured in accident

published: February 07 2007 12:00 AM updated:: February 07 2007 12:00 AM
Two teenagers from Seymour who were injured in a two-vehicle accident are still recovering. Mary Mise, one of the two teenagers involved in the accident and a student at Seymour High School, was listed in Critical condition Wednesday at UT Medical Center. The second teenager, Kayla Green, has been upgraded and released and is currently recovering. Both students were injured when their Toyota 4-Runner was involved in an accident on Ford Hill heading north on Chapman Highway. The driver of the Toyota hit the rear end of a pickup truck driven by John King. Following the impact, the Toyota came to rest in such a manor to cause the two occupants to be ejected out of the vehicle. The girls were taken via LifeStar to UT Hospital. The Seymour High School girl’s soccer team is selling hearts to fellow students to raise money for Mize’s recovery. The Seymour Middle School is holding a “Hat Day” on Friday in honor on Mize. Our thoughts and prayers are with both families and the students as they continue on their recovery.
