Notice of Public Meeting

The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) will conduct a public meeting to present an overview of the draft Statewide Storm Water Management Plan (SSWMP) from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the TDOT Region 1 complex auditorium, 7345 Region Lane, Knoxville, Tennessee. This will be a formal public meeting, during which time there will be a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period. The public is invited to ask questions and make comments during the meeting. Representatives from TDOT will be available to answer questions on any aspect of the SSWMP plan. TDOT in partnership with the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conversation (TDEC) has developed the SSWMP to increase protection of water quality. The SSWMP outlines the steps TDOT will take to implement erosion prevention and sediment control materials and practices for TDOT construction projects. Written statements and other exhibits must be submitted within twenty-one (21) days after the hearing date to be included in the official transcript.
